Today, when
we are at the turning point of the wheel of century, the world seems to be at
the verge of extinction of men of high character, moral and integrity. This
degeneration has affected the overall growth and peace of the family, society,
nation and world. The downfall in human values, loss of work, culture,
disrespect of superiors and indiscipline has resulted to chaotic conditions
everywhere. The everlasting hunger for wordy things and greed for fulfilling
selfish desires has created a situation of dissatisfaction spectrum of social
evils, communal riots, terrorism and a threat of world war. This worldwide problem is not
because of shortage of resources, food or funds but the fault lies in man
himself, who is responsible for all sorts of corruption. Now the question
arises, how this dirt of evils can be removed from marrow of every individual?
How the man can be evolved
with superior instincts and values so that ideal conditions can be created for
harmonious and the peaceful development of the society and nation? Many
positive attempts have been made by different countries towards the improvement
of human qualities.
In Denmark, in the
year 1960, the Government introduced a law of sterilization of an individual
whose I.Q. was 75% or below, so that the progenies of high I.Q. and intellect
may be born by adopting this. Principle of eugenics and the country may
progress and prosper well. Later, the people of Denmark objected the govt.'s law of
sterilization and challenged it by filling a suit in the court that the govt.
has no right to control the reproduction and multiplication of any family. The
law was ultimately declared unjust under human right and vacated by the court.
In
china, in the year 1981, the Govt. established a "sperm bank" and
appealed to outstanding authors, artists, scientists and other intellectuals of
the society to come forward and donate sperm willingly for improving the human
breed. Quit a good number of samples were collected and 137 women craving to
give birth to an able child underwent artificial insemination with sperm from a
"sperm bank".
The
Controversy, however, arose when there husbands refused to accept and give
their name as a father of such child and thus Govt.'s could not succeed.
In U.S.A., in the year 1994, the Govt. sanctioned a
multi-dollars research project to Dr. John Fagan, Professor of Molecular
Biology, and Maharishi
International University
for carrying out research on human genetic engineering to raise cloned man of
superior and desired characteristics. Few transgenic animals have been raised
through the process of genetic engineering. Now, the scientists have succeeded
in isolating the genes and identifying the nature and behavior of gene
associated for a particular character. In view of the above findings, a project
was given to Dr. Fagan to raise transgenic human species with superior characteristics
but he returned the project to U.S. Govt. along with warning and caution to the
scientists engaged on human genetic not to do work in this direction as the
conditions of the plants and animals are entirely different to that of human
beings. Human system is very sensitive and complicated. Number of
combination-permutation reaction are still not very clear to the scientists, so
research in this direction may lead to produce such a monsterous human species,
who may destroy the entire human race on this planet. The Human race can only
be improved by divine and ethical laws as suggested by Rishi’s from time to
time by following the principles of compatible marriage.
Above
statement from a scientist of an International repute confirms that human race
can not be improved by scientific processes or by any other means except that
of proper compatible marriage. Modem scientists have succeeded in solving many
mysteries of nature. but they failed to understand the mechanism by which the
inner make-up and qualities of man can be changed. Now the question arises what
are the divine laws and the principles of proper marriage, which one should
follow in selection of life-mate in marriage for production of better offspring
of high characteristics and values.
When science fails,
humanity cries and man finds no solution than God melts an angel mutate
spontaneously and comes as a man among men with divine power to provide solace
and solution to the burning hearts of humanity. The entire human race of the
world integrates and unites to such a great super soul to find solution and
answer of all problem of life. Although, such man appears to be the most normal
man but He is a real creator and the center of the universe. Such man stands
beyond the range of human comprehension and intelligence so He is considered as
an unknown man according to the Nobel Laureate Dr. Alexis Carrel. The Vaisnavas
comprehend such an -as Ram and Krishna, Buddhist -
as Lord Buddha, Jains - as
Mahavir, Christians - as Jesus, Muslims - as Hazarat Mohammad, Sikhs - as Guru Nanak and so on. All of them are same
and came during different periods by different names to give the solution and
show the way to get the peace and prosperity in life to the man of their age, Sri Sri Thakur .Anukulchandra is the greatest
fulfiller of the present age, the Ideal who embraced humanity with expansion.
According to man-making philosophy
of Sri Sri Thakur, man can be improved by following two methods;
1. By Genetical Methods
2. By Cultural Method
GENETICAL METHOD: The
genetical method is based on the principle of proper compatible marriage, which
is regulated by genes embedded in the chromosomes of germ cells i.e. sperm and
ovum. Compatibility implies consistent harmony. Sri Sri Thakur has played the
role of a great Genetic Counselor for the whole human race. His principles of
eugenics become evident in the following sayings:
"Maladjusted, incompatible gene-combination
in wedding begets infectious scoundrels
who vitiate the environment, family and
society
and lead the clan, country and nation to
ruin."
(The Message Vol.VII-201)
According
to Sri Sri Thakur - marriage in not a
matter of contract, so the selection of bride or bridegroom should be made as
law of heredity. He says:
Good progeny and upliftment
are marriage's basic stays;
Don't make the mistake of marrying
in a haphazard way.
(Anushruti
Vol - 34)
The germ
cells should continually be improved under a system of marriage based on the
principle of Varnasram (the grouping of people of similar instincts). Marriage
between members of the same Varna
(a guild composed of people of similar instinct -
The Message Vol. IX) and hypergamous marriage is most beneficial.
Hypogamous marriage is harmful and so is marriage between people of common
blood. Sri Sri Thakur warns:
Never allow, even by mistake
Marriage within the same clan of the
Same Vama
It will make your lineage decrepit
With in coherent qualities.
He defined hypergamy in this way:
Marriage of girl of lower birth
To a boy belonging to superior Varna
And heritage
Is called hypergamy
And society prospers thereby.
Sri Sri Thakur says:
A man's
marriage into a family whose
culture is less
makes the society ascend in the way of progress."
(Anushruti Vol. I - 40)
In hypogamous marriage, the condition become just
reverse, where the wife's heritage is superior to her husband's, the wealth of
the germ cells deteriorates and ruins his own clan, so He says:
“By marrying into a higher family, a man
Aggravates chaos and ruins his own
clan"
(Anushruti Vol. 1- 43)
