Sri Prafulla Ch. Barua (M.D. Registrar of Medicine, Assam Medical College) and several other doctors from Assam came. In the afternoon they went before Sri Sri Thakur.
Seeing Prafulla (Barua) Sri Sri Thakur said, “Procure some good doctors who can be sent to foreign countries to become well equipped. We want to start our own college and prepare our own men. Service mentality is something like slave mentality. There is no upliftment in it. If one thousand men each give only fifteen rupees per month then with that amount I can send several persons to foreign countries to continue higher studies. Try your best for this. And learn Sanskrit very well. You must read and fully understand Sanskrit. I have heard that Russia has improved so much and done so many things of her own. The basis for this, I think, mainly comes from the books of India. Through research of Sanskrit books the people of Russia have accomplished this.”
