CONVERSATIONS WITH SRI SRI THAKUR: DEEPA-RAKSHI: OCTOBER 14, 1954; PART 2; TRANCE CONT. (END OF THIS CONVERSATION)
Sri Sri Thakur, “Is there no record of the beginning period of trance?”
Sushilda, “Nothing.”
Sri Sri Thakur (with regret), “ Many things have been missed. If you could have taken down all the material, a big book would have been compiled.”
Akuda, “My father (Late Brindaban Chandra Adhikary) found out about it from Anantada. Describing Thakur’s trance condition Anantada said to my father,
‘Such and such actions have occurred. I say, go there and see the matter with your own eyes.’ On that request my father at once went to see Thakur’s trance. By observing the trance, my father understood that the feeling is similar to that of Lord Gauranga. From that moment he started to record all the messages that used to come out during the trance period. He said, ‘Not a single word should be omitted. You will know later on what revelation is.’ One day when You were in trance I tried to feel Your heart and pulse beat. But in vain. No beat was felt. But Your big toe was moving a little and that type of swift buzzing sound was coming from your toe. It seemed that some electric current was passing through it.”
Sri Sri Thakur, “After the coming of Brindaban Babu everything became recorded. Before that Ananta, Kishori and many others observed the trance but made no record.”
Borda, “Many came and saw the trance but understood nothing. They never thought of recording the messages.”
After this Akuda talked on the use of language by Sri Sri Thakur.
Akuda, “To me the previous language was easy and simple, but the language used later is a bit hard to understand.”
Sri Sri Thakur, “The use of my recent language is as if ornamental, but the previous language used to spring forth with a spontaneous flow. So there was no need for ornamentation.”
Akuda, “You said in simple language in the year 1918 that if an attempt can be made in this and that way, it is possible to break the atom.”
Sri Sri Thakur, “But there was not even the conception of it at that time.”
Then Akuda returned to the topic of trance. He said to Sri Sri Thakur, “You had a thermometer. One day, while in trance, somebody put that thermometer under Your arm. Just on touching the temperature rose to 110 degrees.”
Sri Sri Thakur, “Yes, water sprinkled on My body used to evaporate quickly. Whatever I touched would tremble. (After a little pause) Now it is all like fiction to Me.”
It was 7 AM. The sun was up in the sky. Devotees came one after another to pay homage and offer oblation at the lotus feet of their Love Lord. The solemn as well as mysterious topic from above was stopped by this time.
