In the evening when the sun was setting Rev. Borda and the devotees bowed down as usual before Sri Sir Thakur Who was sitting in the parlor. Some ashramites were returning to their houses. Sarat Halderda, Rebati Biswasda and also some women were sitting before Sri Sri Thakur.
Sri Gopal Ch. Bhattacharya, editor of the monthly magazine ‘Jnan and Bijnan’ (Knowledge and Science) answered nicely to a letter from an ashramite. Sri Sri Thakur wanted a copy of the letter to be kept carefully.
Saratda narrated some childhood incidents of Gopalbabu, his inquisitive character and scientific outlook. Saratda told Sri Sri Thakur about his articles on research in the said magazine.
Sri Sri Thakur, “Such men alone become great.”
Saratda, “Is it possible for science to produce men with characters like Ramkrishna or Shakespeare?”
Sri Sri Thakur, “What I think is that as no two things can be the same dimension so also no two persons can have the exact likeness. Either one must have more or have less than the other.”
Rebatida, “Electrons are all equal. The scientists say that those are all the same dimension and alike.”
Sri Sri Thakur, “I think that they are not exactly the same. If they would be the same, they would repel each other or form a whole. One atom of hydrogen is not exactly the same as another atom of hydrogen. If the two are exactly the same and alike either they will become one or disintegrate.”
Sunil Karanda, “The protons that remain within the nucleus are positively charged particles. Do they not repel each other because they are unequal?”
Sri Sri Thakur, “It may be so. I think that the proton also is a compound body. Neutrons keep the protons conglomerated. Due to the presence of the neutral body they cannot repel each other. So a throb has always been occurring. This allows us to remain alive. One positive divides into two parts. There is nothing astonishing about this. Lines of force materialize and take shape as matter. Electrons and protons have come from lines of force. I say that they (electrons, protons etc.) come from ‘Hiranya Garva’ (super precious womb of nature) and are created through the conflict of positive and negative forces.” (To be continued)
