`There are more things in heaven and earth,
Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy'.

Here is a real story. Shri Ramakrishna Paramhansa never encouraged
miracle- mongering; on the contrary he regarded it as an impediment
to achieve God realization. Nevertheless he admitted that `everything
is possible in the realm of Maya'.
He was himself witness to a `divine miracle'. One fine day
Mathuranath Biswas a disciple of Shri Ramakrishna argued that even
god could not go against the law of nature.
He emphatically said, `This China rose always produces red flowers;
it can never produce flower of different hue, even if god wants it
to'. Shri Ramakrishna laughed loudly and said, `Why not? If the
almighty wishes, that can happen'. The very next day miraculously
that plant produced flowers of two different colors, one red and
other white in two of its branches. Every thing is possible unto God.
Here is another story; Lord Christ was able to restore the ear of a
servant severed by a disciple. " And one of them smote the servant of
the high priest and cut off his right ear. And Jesus answered and
said, Suffer ye thus far. And he touched his ear and healed him."
(Luke22: 50-51)
According to Saint Augustine—'the supernatural (miracles by another
name) is not against the laws of the nature, but only against the
laws of nature as known to man'.
Nature's law as known to man is limited to science. The subtler laws
that rule true nature of matter can only be known by the Saints,
Yogis and Sat-Gurus, which is beyond the realm of ordinary man and
scientists.
