CONVERSATIONS WITH SRI SRI THAKUR: DEEPA-RAKSHI: SEPTEMBER 8, 1956; MARRIAGE; POLITICIANS ETC.
Nowadays Sri Sri Thakur goes every morning to the ground where the Philanthropy office is being constructed. He goes by a trolley, waits there for some time, observes all the work, gives necessary suggestions to the workers and then comes back.
Today too, the trolley is brought before Sri Sri Thakur just in time. Before getting up on the trolley Sri Sri Thakur looked at Rev. Borda and said, “Marriage is the only sacramental rite of a woman. She has no other rite to observe. So if the sexual tenacity of women is not adjusted properly and correctly there is every possibility of anomaly.” (Anomaly: something that deviates from the norm or from expectations).
After that Sri Sri Thakur got up on the trolley, went to see the construction of the Philanthropy office and then returned within an hour.
It is 9:10 AM. Mr. Baladeb Sahay, advocate general of Bihar, came to Sri Sri Thakur. A chair was given to him. After showing due respect to Sri Sri Thakur, Mr. Sahay sat on the chair. Sri Krishnaprasanna Bhattacharya, Sarat Ch. Halder, Prafulla Kr. Das, Ajoynath Ganguly, Harinandan Prasad, Mr. R. A. Hauserman and many other personalities of Satsang were present at that time.
In the course of conversation Sri Sri Thakur said, “While washing your face, if you put water in your eyes, it is good for eye sight. I do it regularly. Dr. Kartic Bose gave eye glasses to me. He charge me nothing for them. Even in this old age of mine I use those glasses. (After a while) I would like Baladeb Babu to live a long life with his body free from disease.”
Baladeb Babu, “What is the gain of living only? We should do something for the society. I found out that the result of Tapovan Idyalay (School of Satsang) is not satisfactory.”
Sri Sri Thakur, “It’s true. (To Mr. Hauserman) I want you to inform the teachers about this opinion of Baladeb Babu. All these things have come about after my illness.”
Then discussion began on politics, politicians, country etc.
Sri Sri Thakur, “He who wants to be a politician, rarely becomes one. To be a politician, one must possess a coordination of eye, ear, nose, mouth, pulse, and everything. You must have thorough knowledge of things and subjects. If you see anything with your eye, you cannot know whether it is hard or soft. To have that knowledge you require touch. So to be whole a common relation between the organs is necessary. To achieve that goal a person should be concentric. In ancient times the purpose of our education was to be concentric. You should concentrate your regard on some particular place. Lord Krishna has said in the Gita, ‘One who is regardful acquires wisdom.’ If people move on in the way I say and avoid divorce, Chanakya may be born again in this country. There is rarely a politician seen like Chanakya, even outside of India. For delicious cooking good spices should be mixed with it. Similarly to beget a good generation pure compatible marriage is necessary. If divorce continues, concentricity will be totally extinct from human beings.”
