The desire to live and grow is common to all the beings. In this quest for life and growth
people gradually gather under a person who has the ultimate knowledge of leading them as to
how to live as well as grow happily. When a man grows with simultaneous and symmetrical or
harmonious development of his total being then and then alone he is called efficient in its real
sense. In the perspective of a man as whole efficiency implies the simultaneous and
harmonious growth of his total being. No university or great man in this world can help a man
to be trained in this art of real efficiency and achieve the simultaneous and harmonious
development of his total being.
Only a man like Sri Ramchandra, Sri Krishna, Sri Buddha, Hazarat Rasul, Lord Jesus Christ,
Sri Chaitanya, Sri Ramkrishna and at the present age Sri Sri thakur Anukulchandra can train
man in this art and technique if anyone accepts him in the core of his heart and follows him
through love, service and admiration.
In Sri Sri Thakur‘s view human existence is indebted ever to such realized persons. This
realized person is the living demonstration of character and conduct, who can fulfill the distinct
requirement for life and growth of each and every being. Such a realized one is the Living ideal
in flesh and blood. People get their distinctive requirement from such person. He is the fulfiller
of all the persons and that is why slowly nature coronate such a person as fulfiller the best, i.e.
‗Purushottam‘, the PROPHET of the age. Hence though formally by following the wishes of
His mother Sri Sri Thakur studied medicine and started practicing Homeopathy, however, his
attention turned from treating diseases to treat the internal maladies of mankind and the great
Satsang movement was born by the present age prophet Sri Sri Thakur Anukulchandra.
Through His message, He is defined as
"Prophet of the time
is the enlivening emblem
of the past
and the fulfilment there of.‖
Dr. Alexis Carrel, a Nobel Laureate pays tribute to such a Man in his book “Man the
Unknown” in the following language. ―We never apprehend him in his entirety. He contains
vast, unknown regions. His potentialities are almost inexhaustible. Like the great natural
phenomena he is still un-intelligible. When one contemplates him in the harmony of all his
organic and spiritual activities, one experiences a profound aesthetic emotion. Such an
individual is truly the Creator and the Centre of The Universe.‖
When the world has been divided by several 'ism's of all conceivable kinds, Sri Sri Thakur
clarifies the sense of unity and existence through the following message as
18
"God is for all / Peophets are for all,
No compartment-----
But they are the fulfillers
of all compartments
in their equity;
To create 'ism'
is the satanic dissuasion
of people
from the unity...
the GOD."
‗Dharma‘ has been redefined in so many ways since the time of the Vedas to explain the nature
of human life and its purpose. The doctrine of ‗Dharma‘ as propounded by Sri Sri Thakur
Anukulchnadra (1888-1969), is so simple that a man can easily grasp it. Once a man comes in
contact with Sri Sri Thakur‘s doctrine of ‗Dharma‘, his ignorance melts away and mist clears.
When he follows it, a divine light ushers him on.Sri Sri Thakur conceptualizes that a man is
basically pure by nature. By nature, every human being has tendency to do well or good and by
default he/she wants to be happy, successful and live and never wants to be unhappy or to die.
However, he commits sins out of sheer ignorance. Once ignorance is dispelled from him, lust
vanishes and purity of heart shines on him. Man is not born with ‗original sins‘. However, his
very existence is entwined with Libido or cohesive urge since the time of fertilization of the
ovum by the sperm in the womb of the mother. The electromagnetic force, underlying the
fertilization, acts as an impelling cause behind man‘s quest for unification with something
sublime, or the source of existence. If the tendency of man towards unification is nurtured
properly, a normal growth of personality occurs in him. If the libido gets distorted somehow or
the other, a natural and harmonious growth can not take place.
Sri Sri Thakur defines the life force or the ‗soul‘ as
―The basic radiant unit
From which radiation of life
Or existence emanates
With consciousness
In a contrast…‖
He holds that just as organic evolution is a never ending process, so the soul of a man is ever
continuous in its evolutionary process. As such, the death of a physical body does not break
this continuous flow of life. Man fails to experience this continuity because the ‗conscious
memory‘ is lost at the time of death. If a man can retain the ‗conscious memory‘ even after
death, he can realize the feeling of eternal life (immorality).
Edward carpenter quoted as, ―If we have decided what the final goal of Life of Man is, then we
say that what is good for that purpose is finally ‗Good‘ and what is bad for that purpose is
‗Evil‘. In the words of ‗Swedenborg, ―All Relegion is of life of Relegion is to do good. The
kingdom of Heaven is the kingdom of uses of mental service. On such context, I would refer
the quote of Sri Sri Thakur as
19
“Do Good ---
Whatever you like
To well up your existence---
With every eager urge of compliance;
Be concentric to the Love,
Seek for heaven at every step,
All this will be added unto you‖.
And regarding what is good, Sri Sri Thakur says,
―What gathers
For existential welfare
With meaningful adjustment
Exalting being into becoming is ‗Good‘.‖
Hence, in recent times, to save human being from all kind of miseries, Acharydev Sree Sree
Dada gives the utmost importance on acceptance of the ‗Holy Name‘ through the initiation. On
an occasion of a conference, He stated as “Our Goal is ‗Iswarprapt‘i,.i.e.to realize God in
reality. But God is ‗Abang manaso gocharam‘, i.e. beyond the expression of our mind and
speech. Man can not recognize Him, can not comprehend Him. He always remains beyond my
own conceptual capacity. But when He descends to this plane of matter in human dimension
then and then only we can conceive Him through ‗Sat-Diksha‘ (Holy Initiation). When we take
His initiation and move on accordingly on His way we tend to become enriched with Godly
attributes. Then we achieve an upholding and protecting personality. God upholds each and
all. He never lets get lost from Him”
Hence, the ceremonial function of acceptance (DIKSHA) of such a Man as the prophet of the
age is must for each and every individual being if he or she desires to be ―Efficient human
being‖ to live & grow to proceed toward ‗immortality‘.
Let us swear on this auspicious occasion that we will propagate the gospel of 'Love' of Sri Sri
Thakur all over the world. May every individual grow, expand and attain love, light & joy!!!
May the heaven of love, peace and prosperity be established on this earth after eradicating
misery, sufferings, ignorance and agonies of mankind. May the very vision of Sri Sri Thakur
Anukulchandra & Satsang as ''Do never die, nor cause death; But resist death to death.' be
materialized through us.
