CONVERSATIONS WITH SRI SRI THAKUR: DEEPA-RAKSHI: SEPTEMBER 1,1956; LOVE PATHOS; PROPER USE OF LUST, ANGER, GREED, INFATUATION, PRIDE, JEALOUSY ETC.
An American brother, Don Luthman, has come here. He is newly initiated. This morning he came to Sri Sri Thakur with Mr. R. A. Hauserman and bowed down at the lotus feet of his Lord.
Then Sri Sri Thakur dictated the message:
“Verse without love-pathos and its characteristics
with concentric zeal
is a dummy of Satanic enticement.
Beware!”
After taking down the message, Mr. Hauserman asked about the nature of love pathos.
Sri Sri Thakur answered in a cheerful mood, “Say, you love me. If you have love pathos within you, you cannot go to any place leaving me aside during my illness. But without doing that, if you believe in a philosophy which says ‘He is the Lord. So He cannot have any illness.’ it is not the sign of love pathos. He being the Lord, if you love Him, you must react in the same way as you do in the case of your loved one. As soon as Ali came to know the news of the passing away of Rasulallah (Mohammed), he unsheathed his sword, because he couldn’t tolerate the news of the death of his Lord.
After a while Don Luthman said to Sri Sri Thakur, “Last night I had a dream. I saw you and you were sexually inclined to me.”
Sri Sri Thakur, “Don’t try to see things in a sexual fashion. Let your lust, anger, greed, infatuation, pride and jealousy be concentric to the Lord. Let your lust, anger, greed and everything do good to your Lord. You had a good dream. Dreams expose the innate tendency of a person. However, I say,
“Be thou adhered to thy Lord
with all thou hast
for His welling up hold.”
Saying this, Sri Sri Thakur smiled gently. Mr. Luthman also smiled.
