CONVERSATIONS
WITH SRI SRI THAKUR: PRATUL-DIPTI (BY SRI MANILAL CHAKRABORTY):
WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 9, 1961: KITTEN; MENTAL URGE AND SUCCESSFUL GO;
ASHIRBAD ETC.
Sri Sri Thakur sat in the parlor. After a while He was to go outside in front of the parlor and sit on His bed. The beautiful white bed, approximately six yards in length and four yards in width, looked very nice from the parlor. A kitten sat on this beautiful white bed. As all the devotees were facing Sri Sri Thakur they could not see it. However, Sri Sri Thakur saw it. He said, “Look! See how the kitten sits on the bed!”
Ajit Gangulida went to shoo the kitten away. The kitten was adamant. It did not run away. Seeing this Sri Sri Thakur said that the kitten thought, “‘I am quite content here. Why do you come to disturb me, friend.’”
The devotees laughed.
One of the devotees from Calcutta informed Sri Sri Thakur that the work of Thakur was going on quite well there.
Sri Sri Thakur, “If a person has a mental urge and successful go, then he becomes developed and an unending proficiency comes to that person.”
A mother came and said, “Father! Please bestow your Ashirbad (blessing) on my son.”
Sri Sri Thakur, “’Ashirbad’ means ‘words of commandments’. The Ashirbad of God is already existing. He is not following these...(After a while) Let your words be heard by your son and let him be attentive to you. Then the Ashirbad will follow. The Ashirbad of the parents is the greatest Ashirbad.”
Susil Boseda (holding two books), “I. N. Stevenson has sent two books. He is a great psychiatrist. The psychiatrists analyze dreams.”
Sri Sri Thakur, “By dreams we can determine the state of mental collaboration or mental diversion. Our thoughts and dreams can influence us.”
During the conversation Satyada (Dey) came and bowed down to Sri Sri Thakur.
Seeing him Sri Sri Thakur suddenly cried out, “You have appeared like the lamp of Aladdin!”
The devotees laughed.
