Question : Then you are against the freedom of women. Don't you want women's liberation?
Shri
Shri Thakur : The freedom of women lies in their characteristics, i.e.,
where her characteristics get unimpeded blooming - which, once
successfully accomplished, lays the path for her true liberation. A man
is a man and a woman is a woman after all. There can be no comparison
between them. Both are prominent in their own areas according to their
own characteristics.1
Question : What is the characteristic nature of a woman?
Shri Shri Thakur : The nature of a woman is easily flexible, - easy sympathetic, easily gets influenced by other elements. That is why her traits can easily take up good or bad shape depending upon the occasion or association.2

1 – "We
are foolish and without excuse foolish, in speaking of the
'superiority' of one sex to the other, as if they could be compared in
similar things. Each has what the other has not, each completes the
other and is completed by the other; they are in nothing alike and the
happiness and perfection of both depend on each asking and receiving
from the other what the other only can give." - John Ruskin
