If we go back in the history and analyze we find all these
characteristics were present in past prophets like Purushottam Sri Ram, Sri
Krishna, Lord Jesus Christ, Allah Mohammed, Lord Buddha, and Sri Ramakrishna.
And now in the modem age of the science Sri Sri Thakur Anukulchandra Chakraborty.
Sri Sri Thakur has been accepted, adored and worshiped
as Prophet, Purushottam, the Sadguru, the Ista and the living ideal of the
modem age by millions of the persons in India and abroad - irrespective
of cast, creed, nationality and race. He is the emblem of the divine grace,
mercy and bliss. His primary mission is the "being and becoming" of
man that is, life and growth of one and all. In the modem age of science he has
emphasized scientific explanation of every religious activity.
Correlating the
Religion and Science Sri Sri Thakur says,
"When
Science embraces Religion
with
meaning and means
keenly
and
fulfill each other
with
kisses and riches
heaven
comes down
through
the royal road of
knowledge
to flourish all
with
elixir and bliss. "
according
to Him,
"Religions
may be many
but
the principle
and
realization thereof
are
ever same."
Sri Sri Thakur defines
Dharma in a very simplistic way which is easy to grasp as to follow. He says,
"Upholding urge of our
existence is Dharma.”
"What makes us live
and grow
with healthy maintenance
is Dharma."
"The object of Dharma
is to attain truth
in its all purification
and to enlighten existence.”
"Dharma is to achieve
existential bliss
in conduct and character."
According to Sri Sri
Thakur, the goal of life is to achieve a meaning coordination between the Lord,
the individual and the environmental through an evolving, energetic volition.
In order to bring coordination with Him, we need to practice three habits
called Jajan, Jaajan and Istavriti.
Jajan : It means to
make a habit of exalting oneself towards the Lord through meditation. The
proper meditation can excite the inner thrill and so expands one's
consciousness of existence. The proper meditation means continuous repetition
of a particular word acts upon our central nervous system and increase the
elasticity of the brain cells. Thus the response which was beyond our comprehension
gradually becomes comprehensible.
Further
those sensitized brain cells begin to adjust; so they not only respond, but also
retain; they become receptive of course, if one thinks deeply about Him through
whom the Name has been revealed – His desires, ideas and dicta........................... .
Thus, the sensitivity and
power of reception of the brain cells are developed; the finer and deeper
becomes our understanding and the feeling of the external and our internal
"impressions. By then making a correlation and adjustment between the external
world and our internal needs, we gain in understanding and knowledge
accordingly.
Jaajan: It means
exalting others towards Him through pious works. It is only through active
service to the environment that the various impulses are received which arouse
various thoughts and feelings, Conflict arise, judgments must be made and
through this, different knots are united. Sri Sri Thakur says the last fragment
of your worship is to seek out and find the difficulties of the environment
and. then solve and relieve them. Until and unless you finish that with love
sympathy, I feel your worship is deaf, dull and dumb. If you ignore your
environment, your life of devotion will not reach but only impoverish your
life. But; if you keep the fulfillment of the Lord as the link and enter into
relations with the world around you more and more, then greater you will be
benefited. It is only in this way you become able to regulate different people,
situations and objects for the fulfillment for the Lord. Even more your
personality expands and your love for Lord becomes deep. He says,
"You are for the Lord, not for others You are
for the Lord and so for others."
Istavriti:
It means to make a daily material oblation to your Lord before taking any food.
This practice Thakur says is the prime mover of the existence. By offering
something materially everyday to your Lord, energy is created. An attitude to fulfill
Him is gradually induced. This makes Him prominent and inexorably adjusts the
passions and desire toward a unified harmony and understanding. It helps to
establish a relationship between your deeds and thoughts with your feeling of
love. When you daily offer food or money gained through your own effort for the
maintenance of your Lord, the thought of Him Whom you serve and fulfill through
the sweat of your brow arises automatically. In your heart, He becomes your
very own. Just see the love of the mother who serves her children through her
own labour and pain. Istavriti nurtures practically a man's devotion to His
Lord. It is the practical manifestation of the urge to love and give to Him out
of that Love. We cannot feel happy without giving to Him…..without feeding Him.
This feeling creates energy within that makes one abler and abler.
The
practice of Jajan, Meditation, Jaajan, practical service to environment and
Istavriti; the daily offering can make an ordinary man strong and bring love,
peace and prosperity in one's life. Let us surrender to Him.
The
Hour of Surrender
"Where suffering shoots,
existence crawls,
intelligence weeps to unfold,
Surrender shouts with
a Rescuing urge. "
