On 24th December, 1941 some Muslim gentlemen came to visit Satsang Ashram Himaitpur of Pabna District (now in Bangladesh). They visited Mechanical works, Chemical works, Vishwa- Vijnan Kendra, Art Studio, Tapovan Vidyalaya, Press and other departments of Satsang. They were astonished to see such a huge arrangements in a Ashram at a village engaged with religious activities. At last they came to Sri Sri Thakur Anukulchandra. Sri Sri Thakur was seated in a bench with handles on three sides under a Bakul tree on the northern side of Matri Mandir. Some chairs were kept there for these visitors and they took their seats there.

In course of their conversation, one of the visitors, Mr. Haque, said to Sri Sri Thakur- We are very much pleased to see such a huge arrangements of works here. But why such an arrangement of works in a religious institution?

Sri Sri Thakur Anukulchandra answered- That by which one’s life and growth are upheld along with those of others is Dharma. For this we require Rasul at the outset. We are never stricken with thousand and one obstacles when we proceed on by loving and following such an Idea man. Then what we do keeping the Ideal at the right point for our being and becoming becomes Dharma. So if we analyze deeply we find that no country, state, society or individual can afford to be devoid of Dharma. That opens the way of self-destruction. For, to seek to live by supplanting others is to create enemies. We will be devoid of Dharma, i.e., being and becoming if we do not carry on those things which are essential for our being and becoming. We can not live if we not let our environment live. We are elicited by the superior type of Karma and services of the environment if we make them enriched by our Karma and services. So you can now comprehend the need of Karma for observing Dharma. But all our Karma must gratify Khodatala, Rasul.

Mr. Haque said-You being a Hindu are speaking about Rasul. But Hindus rare speak about Rasul…….

Sri Sri Thakur answered- He is our own whom Khuda has sent to us He is for Hindu, Muslim and others. He is for all human beings. None can go to Khodatala but through Him. And Rasul himself has said that if we recognize one prophet disowning another and make one greater than another we become a Kafir (an infidel). Again, if we call a Dharmik or a lover of God as Kafir then it proves infidelity in us. In fact, a Dharmik can not be an infidel and again an infidel can not be a Dharmik. There is no difference between a true Hindu, a true Muslim, a true Buddhist or a true Christian. They all are the followers of the same path. Everyone should revere all prophets. Fellow-feelings sprout from it. We all collectively should remain alert so that none can vitiate Dharma. As you so I should be vigilant that none can misinterpret the messages of Rasul. This attitude is to be maintained by everyone for every prophet. We ourselves are profited by knowing and serving each other. As we pursue so we feel that God is one, Dharma- the principles of living and making others live- is one, prophets are the same, servers of one.

Mr. Haque said- there are many differences between Islam and other religions.
Sri Sri Thakur answered- Fundamental differences are rare. But their may be some specific ruling according to characteristic of a country, time and person and I think this proves the law of unity. Because every prophet is the fulfiller of specific characteristics, so there must remain a note of diversities in fulfilling them. The aim of these is being and becoming close to God. The present prophet is the fulfiller of the past ones. ‘He is the Guru of the past ones not separated by time’. Proceeding is the consummation of past ones and there is no enmity between them. Moreover there is fulfillment of all in Him.
(Alochana-Prasange, 2nd part, p-210)

God of people is one and not two. All the prophets belong to one and the same God; there is no difference between among their principles. Of course there may be variation in their presentation according to time, place and person. The characteristic of love to a prophet lies in loving them, whom he loves. A prophet loves past prophets and their followers whichever community they may belong to. Every religious man follows God and the path approved by the prophets.

On 17th March, 1948, there was a discussion on Hindu-Muslim discord. Sri Sri Thakur said- A Hindu hates Muslim, Muslim hates a Hindu- it means that they do not love god, Dharma and the prophet. The Aryans obey the unparalleled one, the past seers and prophet, they obey forefathers and hereditary specific traits, i.e., Varna. Above all they follow all-fulfilling fulfiller the best if the age who is a nurturer of distinctiveness these are strung as beads of a necklace. Those who have eyes to see and want to see can see it. Ransack the Vedas, the Koran and the Bible, you will find the same thing in various forms. At least you will not find anything opposed to the fundamentals. In the Koran there is clear instruction about acknowledging forefathers, if I am a devotee of Islam why should my name be Golam Sophan? It should be nothing but Anukul Chakraborty. Because God and Rasul belong to all. Even among the Muslims there is emphasis on maintaining regard for hereditary aristocracy and distinctiveness. It reveals ratification about the essence of Varna. Today why are we bent on destroying distinctiveness? Is there any such dictum of Rasul? Again, if we are keen on maintaining on distinctive traits, then we are also to see that other people characteristics are kept up. If we indulge in the tendency of demolishing the specific traits of others, eventually it widens the path of destroying our own characteristics. I say, if I love Rasul and follow his principles, then why should I cease to be a Hindu? In order to follow God why should I disown my forefathers? I understand that both the Muslims and Hindus are Aryans. Their way and goal are the same, Hazrat recognizes past prophets, he ahs also given hint to obey future spokesmen of Dharma. If we do not acknowledge what he admits, it means that we do not obey him. Muslims have to be initiated by saints, Hindus have also to take initiation from Guru, and it is the same thing. Only the language may be different. There are some principles which are to be observed by all, everywhere and at all times irrespective of time, place and person. Again, there are some which are to be observed by particular persons, in specific conditions and in special times and places. These two things should not be confused. The fundamental and universal thing is to obey the non-dual one, to obey the past seers and prophets, to obey the forefathers, to admit distinctiveness, to follow the all-fulfilling fulfiller the best of the age. Whether you are a Hindu or a Muslim if you do not obey these things you are neither a Hindu, nor a Muslim. In a word you belong to the Mlechchha group. Mlechchha means people who are against culture. A man belongs to any community, but if he abides by these things, you cannot ca him an infidel. An infidel means a person who goes against Dharma. We should start a crusade against anti-religious move, without countenancing communal antagonism. We should act in such a way that everyone becomes devoted to God and religiously enlightened. This is a joint responsibility of both Hindus as well as Muslims. So in this task both the Hindus and Muslims should help one another. I feel that Satsang belongs to Hindus, Muslims, Buddhists, Christians and all others equally. All people belong to God, whether they know it or not, admit it or not.”
(Alochana-Prasange, Vol. XI, P111)

Then we see that prophets do not create sectarianism. When the followers do not obey the prophets, misinterpret them for fulfilling their selfish interest and disowning the past prophets loses admiration of the devotees than they become confined by a narrow circle and create sectarianism. And discord sprouts from it. Sri Sri Thakur has warned us-
      “Dharma sabai banche-barhe,
        Sampradayta Dharma na re.”
       “Dharma jiban dipta roy.
       “Dharma janis akee hoy.”
       “Purbatane manena jara,
        Janis nichhak mechchha tar.”
       “Prerite je provide kare,
        Andhotomay sabar kare.”
       “Na dhare prerite bartaman
        Andhotomay hoi prayan.”
(All live and grow through Dharma,
         Sectarianism is not Dharma.
         Dharma makes life glowing,
         It is always one.
Those who do not obey past prophets are to be certainly takes as heathens. He, who differentiates among prophets, brings about destruction by causing blinding darkness.
Non- acceptance of the present prophet leads to extinction in the midst of blinding darkness)
On 29th February, 1948 Mr. N.C.Chateerjee talked abut the political situation of India. Sri Sri Thakur said-“Adjustment is very important in politics. Rigidity does not pay. Adjustments have to be made according to circumstances without deviating from the Ideal and purpose. Again, we should have far sight. We should guess the harms that may overtake us from different sides. We should also think how to remedy them. Again, we should have all-round attention. Nothing but all-sided co-ordinate move will serve our purpose. (After a pause) Danger may come all on a sudden.”
   (Alochana-Prasange, Vol.XI)

We don’t know the real purpose of politics. We like to attain supremacy over the people by hook or by crook. Selfish interest guides our activities. Even we sacrifice the interest of the country for the selfish gain of the party. Thus the country proceeds towards disunity and discord and finally to destruction. Sri Sri Thakur Anukulchandra warned us against such tendency and gave us the real definition of politics. He said-
      “That which
                  protects, nurtures and fulfills
                        the uphold of existence
                            is politics”.
(The Message, Vol.IV)
And again said-

  “Political rule is the rule
     which can take man’s existence
            and becoming
in the direction of gradual development
      by regulating people
          individually and collectively
            in health, education and
                           character;

and where this is decayed,
          complicated and besmirched,
                  corruption and revolt
                   are inevitable”.
                                      (Chalaar Saathi)

Sri Sri Thakur has given us the definition of a real leader-
          “With sympathy and service,
                   he gives special attention
                             to man’s sorrow, distress,
                   depression and so on-
          anything which takes him
                   on the path of
                             meanness or death,
          and lifting them up
                   to delight and forbearance,
          he can take them
                   in the direction of progress-
                             he is the genuine leader”.
                                                             (Chalaar saathi)
