When man becomes a slave
to his complexes and there is extreme degeneration all around in the society,
when the need arises acutely to proclaim to the people the way of existential
upkeep, the Lord, the Prophet comes down to earth to exalt our being and bring
about the fulfillment of man. He is the master and fulfiller of the people, Lord
of Love who bestows on every soul the shower of love and Life and once again
there is eternal bliss and happiness all around. Such a man is Purushottam Sri
Sri Thakur Anukul Chandra, who came down on earth in human form out of intense
love, to redeem us, to bless the earth and all that lives on it.
“He
who comes down
with the lucid and distinctive
characteristics of providence
for the age
to impart them
to the world-
is in short,
a man-
the Prophet,
we may also call Him
the Son of Man”.
-Sri Sri Thakur
“God the Father means
the God who creates and nurtures. God the Son means the God in human form,
whenever the Prophet comes, He comes as the Fulfiller of traits, instincts and
characteristics, and i.e. He goes on fulfilling, nurturing and protecting all
individual traits and characteristics, all the past Prophets and each
existence. That is His eternal purpose”.
-Sri
Sri Thakur
The human mind is not
concentric. We live in different worlds in different times. To us there are so
many worlds, the Muslim’s world, the Hindu’s world, and the Christian’s world
the businessman’s world and so on. To a child his world of toys and playmates
are very true but to a grown up it is but useless. And we taught us to live in
so many different worlds in different times that we have lost the centre, the
unity in all these. Have we ever thought on the meaning and necessity of life?
We need to be
concentric so that our complexes are meaningfully adjusted. But how do we do
it? This can only be achieved by surrendering to the Ideal, to an ideally
centred person. And who is he? He is the genuine self who is constituted only
by the coming to life of the infinite spiritual world in an independent
concentration in the individual; He is Sadguru, the Prophet. In the words of
Sri Sri Thakur, Any Tom, Dick and Harry cannot become the nucleus, the center,
the axis. That man must be a solved Man and Integrated Man.
We call Him the Ista (Ideal). Hence the indispensability and necessity of
accepting the Ista or taking initiation in our life.
Complexes need to be
won over, they are to be meaningfully adjusted otherwise the being becomes
colored, obsessed and absorbed by any of them at a particular moment. Then in
whatever manner the person gets inclined, he becomes that sort of man. With
another particular impulse he becomes another man. And so as his existence is
attacked by different complexes he becomes many different men, sometimes a
drunkard, then a jealous husband, then generous and so on. And so he loses
balance and all control on his being. His personality remains disintegrated.
To bring about
adjustment of complexes and a balanced go of life we need a living example of
character and conduct before us, to mould our own character and conduct. Hence,
we need the Ideal the Sadguru, the Ista. Sri Sri Thakur’s words, “First of all
Ideal is needed, and fanatic inclination to Him. And this is called Jajan,
Jaajan and Istavriti. If anybody’s active adherence to the Ideal is aroused there
is nothing to worry about for him. Nothing in this world can hamper his
progress along with his environment if he fulfils the Ideal in thought, word
and deed”.
Thus to exist life and
growth, to adherence to ‘being and becoming’ man should surrender and bind
himself with the Sadguru. And the first step in this direction is ‘Diksha’ or
‘initiation’. In the Bible this has also been called ‘being born again’. And
when we make ‘Him’ the ‘Lord’ our central axis of life, we become adhered to
Him, we become His disciple. And in the process we become mutually interested
and integrated step by step. Our lives become transformed into rare divinity
and the society evolves to become an Ideal one. There is peace, bliss and
happiness all around and the environment is charged with divine love.
In Sri Sri Thakur’s words,
“The goal of our life is
God realization or
in other words attainment
of a personality in which
the urge of upholding and
protecting others is firmly
established:
The means to it
is active adherence to the Ideal,
from this flows self-adjustment
with adjustment of the family,
society and the State;
and from this adjustment of the State;
and from this adjustment of the State
begins advancement towards
becoming-forging a link
with the whole world;
and there from springs
the urge of finding
fulfillment of everything in
God;
and this is the supreme
consciousness
that sprouts from
God-realization”.
Let us not delay any more, let us not forget that our only hope
lies in the divine guidance and blessings of the Sadguru, Purushottam Sri Sri
Thakur Anukulchandra. Let us not run towards hell with our backs towards His
divine light crying “Darkness, darkness, darkness.”
May we exalt our being with this healing touch, may we be
guided, integrated, adjusted by His divine wisdom. May we eternally strive to
adhere to Him, the Lord “it is only then that we can fulfill the great mission
of human life and achieve the grand and glorious goal, destined for humanity.”
